FAQs

Am I able to choose my own days of care?

Yes! Upon enrollment you can express your desired days and if these days are available, you are able to claim them.

What happens if I want to keep my child home for the summer or go on an extended vacation?

St. David’s is a year-round program. This means that if you decide that you want to keep your child home or take a vacation; you would still be responsible for your tuition if you would like us to hold your spot for when you return. If you decide not to pay tuition, you take the chance of your spot being filled.

What if I am not scheduled to come but need emergency care?

Call! If you need spur-of-the-moment care and if there is space, we can schedule you for a “drop in” for a small fee.

What is UPK and how do I enroll my child?

The Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program is funded through the Riverhead Central School District and is available to all residents with children who will be 4 on or before December 1st of that upcoming year. You will complete your application on their website in the early spring and upon approval, you will be contacted with placement.

You can find all forms and paperwork needed at www.Riverhead.net.

How will I know what my child did at school during the day?

How can I communicate with my child’s teachers?

The KangarooTime app has an option to direct message teachers as well as an option for the teachers to send message to families. Do not hesitate to touch base with your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns!
